Lake Humane Society launched a special project, named "Operation Healing", to raise critical funds for the Veterinary Medicine Department to upgrade outdated medical equipment and purchase new tools to help more pets in need.

Lake Humane Society operates two on-site clinics to provide comprehensive medical care to shelter pets and operate two community programs: Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR Program) and Wellness Clinic. Most of the equipment our team uses in these clinics was donated to us by local veterinary offices many years ago. These medical tools are very old and while functional, limit the number of animals that we can care for at any given time.
Due to the age of this medical equipment, it is uncertain how much longer these tools will continue to operate…we can’t afford to wait, the animals are counting on us! Help us reach our $50,000 goal today!
Your generosity would help animals like Rose, a sweet 1-year old cat who needed an emergency c-section to safely deliver her kittens.
Or animals like Kami, a 3-year old pup who needed surgery to repair the tear gland in her eye.
Your support would help ensure Lake Humane Society has the medical tools and supplies to care for each pet in need.
All gifts made toward Operation Healing would go directly towards LHS's Veterinary Medicine Department to help purchase new medical equipment and supplies. The project will raise much-needed funds to purchase a dual-headed surgical lamp, a heated surgery table, anesthesia machine and masks, EGC monitor, surgical packs, autoclave, breathing bags and much more. The success of Operation Healing would enable LHS to invest in the future and prevent clinic closures due to faulty equipment, while helping more animals in need and growing community programming. In total, this project requires that we raise $50,000.
We can't help innocent animals without your help! Please donate today.
On behalf of the animals, staff, and Board of Directors at Lake Humane Society, I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude for your donation. Your compassion and generosity are truly appreciated. Without your loyal support, we cannot continue to care for the thousands of homeless, abandoned, and injured animals of Lake County.
An emailed receipt of this donation will be sent momentarily, please check your junk folders if you do not see the email.
Thank you for supporting our cause and making our lifesaving work possible.
Best Regards,
Elizabeth Johnson, Director of Development
